The Eisenhower Library motion picture film archives consists of 675,000 feet of motion picture film. The largest portion of the motion picture holdings covering the presidential years was given to the President by national network television companies. The Library also has a number of documentary films relating to World War II, as well as, original film footage covering such subjects as the surrender of the Italian fleet at Malta and German surrender films.
Although the Library cannot loan film, we will provide a non-broadcast quality cassette reproduction. Non-broadcast quality tapes produced in house will contain a visible flicker, but may be acceptable for study, classroom, preview or home viewing purposes. Broadcast quality reproductions, those to meeting FCC standards, may be purchased from the current contract vendor secured by the Library. Please refer to the fee schedule for reproduction charges. We require prepayment and copies of written releases from all copyright owners. Should you wish to order broadcast quality tape, please let us know. We will then provide ordering information.
